We at FOCUS understand integration as a two-way dynamic process and the result of contact, engagement, exchange and collaboration between arriving and receiving communities.
One of the central features of this approach to dynamic integration is to leverage the benefits of co-creative and participatory practices to give voice and possibilities for self-representation to arriving and receiving communities, take away barriers and thus support sustainable integration.
We will discuss with civil society organisations active in integration work on what co-creation and participation mean in the context of dynamic integration; why and how to make integration practices dynamic, co-creative and participatory; and what to keep in mind when doing so.
